is it just me or everybody in the room knows about it???

    When in a bar,
why does guys laugh at girls behind their back?
is it because theyre just too overdressed?
is it because some girls are too transparent or flirty?
is it because guys just know what that some girls were after??

i got a lot of friends, guy friends. I met some in a bar. but it never really occurd to me that those guys were boyfriend material. for me those guys we meet in the bar has a generalized idea that girls in a bar are those who-just-wanna-have-fun. Correct?

Where does this idea come from?? Who started it?

I wish I knew. I, for one, am known as uptight, because I don't really open up to strangers in any kind of intimate way because I have a distrust of them. So while I'm also the type of person who usually winds up having conversations with random strangers about life, the weather, etc., I'll unconsciously put up a barrier that doesn't let them get too close to me, either. I don't like talking to people about my personal life or letting them be too touchy-feely with me, and the last time a guy hit on me and implied that he wanted to hook up with me, I felt more insulted than flattered. I don't know... I'm a very friendly and sociable and likable person, but just... conservative.

Sometimes my guy friends will laugh at me for this reason, especially if we hit the bar. I personally think going to a bar to meet your soul mate is a terrible idea--sex friend? That's the place to go. But true love? Er... I say try a coffee shop... or the Apple store... anywhere but a bar or the club!

it's not girls' fault, or the guys' for that matter. it's the environment you're in at the time. the bar (or club) tends to be a place for fun. Hence, r'ships built in that place tend to be 'for fun'.
